Exact Strut Placement. New E.S.P. enhances the stability and power in C shaped wings.
The closeness of the tip stabilizers ensures the chamber remains forward settling any major movement which is common to most kites. The Original Series and ALIBI kites maintains good flexibility for relaunch by replacing 2 stiff struts commonly placed near the tip for 2 mid length battens. This lowers the tip trailing edge cupping to a minimum and retains ideal wing tip flex for down wind relaunches.
NEW kites have smooth turning as a result of E.S.P. The strut placement is in the region where most kites flutter during fast flying manoeuvres. Flutter is drag and produces vibration feedback that is normally undesirable for the rider.
E.S.P. helps lift. Different to normal C shape kites, the Original Series and ALIBI kites have increased the lifting area on the tips. When sheeting in for maximum power the struts angle of attack becomes positive to the airflow, actually producing lift. This gives an even more explosive C kite feel.
Minimum drag from struts and fast profiles in the apex of the kite allows the kite to accelerate quickly producing good bottom end power in smaller sizes. Less rigid strut support through the center of the kite allows the canopy to react faster to rider input. Like Sailboard wave sails, the Original Series is not chamber induced and depower can be trimmed to be instantaneous with no complex bridle arrangement.
Smaller size Original Series 5m and 7m are built with 3 struts and 2 long battens to control wandering chamber around the tips. These kites have excellent bottom end due to their light weight also stable top end in extreme wind due to E.S.P.
