Trainer kites are the essential beginnings of our sport, kiteboarding. Ideally you need to spend many hours flying one before attempting to kiteboarding. It's said that NEW Kiteboarding makes "the best trainer kite in its class."

The kite is a durable 1.8m squared size, ideal for learning how to fly a 2 line kite and is a real asset for gathering flying hours before kitesurfing school.  Having competent kite flying skills makes it far easier to pick up the sport.  The great thing about the NEW trainer kite is that it delivers comfortable power for learning how a kite reacts in the wind window but it wont generate too much power to pull you completely off your feet. The NEW trainer is a specialized kite surfing trainer kite as the profiles let the kite fly all the way around to the edge of the wind window. This gives you the closest flying experience to a full size surf kite.

Your trainer kite comes with a 45cm control bar. It is completely rigged and ready to fly.  The bar is fitted with two 1.6mm heavy duty lines which are 20m in length, just like the ones found on the larger kites.  These line lengths and bar dimensions closely simulates the turning of larger kites used for surfing.

When packed the bag measures 20 x 50 cm, so its the perfect size to securely hide under your car seat. Which is great! Because you can take it every where, all the time.
The NEW trainer package also includes an easy to follow instruction sheet that you can take to the beach or the car park if you would like to use the kite to pull you along on a skateboard.

Developed in windy Geraldton, Western Australia they're constructed a lot tougher than standard trainer kites. The NEW trainer kite is an Australian design and is very affordable.
